MULTI NB 700 to 1500 Wall-mounted flap-valve

Specifications

PHOTO_CLAPETS_MULTITUBE_A_BRIDE_MULTI_NB_DN_SUP_800.jpg

MULTI NB 700 to 1500 is an inclined flap valve with ISO PN 10 flange for installation.

  • onto a vertical wall (grade 1.4401 (316) stainless steel drive dowels provided)
  • or on a standard PN10 flange (bolts not provided)

Like the MULTI NB 200 to 600 inclined flap valve, it is designed for protecting against the backflow of water into the sewer system.

The MULTI NB valves also provide good sealing criteria thanks the inclined door design and integral seal.

Highly resistant, they can withstand back pressures of up to 1 bar and are highly resistant to corrosion, ultraviolet light, thermal shocks and mechanical stress.

Product not suitable for use in marine environments (swell, swirls). Please contact us for further information.

Another benefit of the Polyester valves from NORHAM

  • Their weight: they are far lighter than the traditional valves. They are therefore quick and easy to install.
  • The MULTI NB check valves are made from glass fibre reinforced isophtal acid Polyester resin, with an isophtal acid Gel-Coat applied to all of the surfaces.
  • The axles, screws and bolts are made from grade 1.4401 (316) stainless steel and the standard seal, EPDM.

OPTIONS

I.E.:

All NORHAM valves can be supplied with a stainless steel lifting ring nut to allow for quick and easy handling from a distance.

Norham can also offer you purpose-built projects (in polyester or HDPE) depending on your specific applications (see some examples of purpose-built solutions).

Our "Polyester plant" is available via a virtual tour on the Norham site.

Installation / Application

Before beginning installation, have all of the necessary tools ready:

  • drill and Ø8 drill bit (DN 700 and 800) or Ø12 (other DNs),
  • 13 torque wrench (DN 700 and 800) or 19 (other DNs),
  • hammer,
  • bolts delivered with the valve (8/30 for DN 700 and 800 or FBN 12/45 for other DNs),
  • and prepare the installation surface which must be smooth and vertical.

For ease of installation, it may be helpful to remove the door.

Begin installation by placing the body of the valve onto the wall.

  • Centre it and draw marks where the fastening points are, found on the flange,
  • Drill where these marks have been made (for DN 700 and 800 at Ø 8 mm at 65 mm in depth and for the other DNs at Ø 12 mm and 75 mm depth) and put the fastening’s into position,
  • Reposition the valve body on the fastenings and tighten all the bolts evenly with an 18 torque wrench (DN 700 and 800) or 50 (other DNs) N.m.

Finish by reattaching the door and its axial system to the valve and by tightening all the screws.
