T-SADDLE Flexible
Specifications

The T-SADDLE flexible elastomeric saddle is used to provide a quick and economical method of connecting laterals to existing sewers or drains.
The T-SADDLE consists of an EPDM elastomeric sleeve and grade 1.4301 (304) stainless steel apron which provides a flexible connection to accommodate ground movement and minimise shear forces on the main pipe. Also the gridded rubber sleeve ensures a watertight seal with the existing main sewer or drain.
The pipe clamps with sliding zip (DN 100 to 160) or with Hi-TORQUE fastening (DN 200) can be adjusted to suit the external diameter of the existing sewer or drain: one clamp covers several DNs.
Four standard sizes are available for the T-SADDLE branching pipe:
- 100, 125, 160 and 200 mm for creating a junction on existing sewers or drains with external diameters measuring from 160 to 630 mm
- For existing sewers or drains of larger diameters, we can produce purpose-built clamps up to 2000 mm (ask us).
T-SADDLE can withstand a maximum working pressure of 0.6 bar.
The SADDLE flexible saddle can be made to order to suit specific site conditions: Ask us.
Installation

Installing the T-SADDLE flexible is very fast. No specific preparation is needed before setting up the T-SADDLE .
Simply cleaning out the pipe is sufficient.
- Begin by carrying out your core drilling or perforation using a core drill (see our core drills) or a hole saw (see our hole saws) according to the operating instructions supplied with the tools.
- Control the installation using the centring locking ring found at the back of the T-SADDLE: it must fit perfectly into the hole. This locking ring is designed to facilitate the positioning of the T-SADDLE on the existing sewer or drain.
- Then position the T-SADDLE body and put in the tension bands or pipe clamps, running them over the stainless steel apron and through the holes found at the ends of the apron.
- Tighten everything using a screwdriver or a ratchet spanner with a torque setting of 6 N.m
The tension bands can be easily fitted or removed. By operating the clamp head screw, it is possible to drag the tension band.
Position the tension bands so that the tightening devices are easily accessible.
The simple installation of the T-SADDLE flexible means that there is a minimal amount of clutter.
