NORHAM Flexible coupling XL

The NORHAM Flexible coupling XL multi-material large width couplings are available from ND 300 to ND 600 mm.

They are suitable for sewerage, drainage and other non-pressure applications.

The NORHAM Flexible coupling XL is the wider "big brother" of the NORHAM Flexible coupling SC coupling (300 mm vs 190 mm), which means it can accept a greater tolerance in the cutting of pipe ends as well as providing for greater movement of the pipe ends due to settlement or thermal movement.

Equipped with "HI-TORQUE" fastenings, the NORHAM Flexible coupling XL is highly resistant.

It can withstand:

• up to 1.5 bar pressure,
• temperatures ranging from -40°C to + 140°C,
• 1.75° angular deviation,
• and up to 25 times its ND in shearing force (ask us).

NORHAM Flexible coupling XL is made from EPDM and grade 1.4301 (304) austenitic stainless steel or may be ordered in grade 1.4401 (316) austenitic stainless steel (option).

The NORHAM Flexible coupling​ XL couplings are extremely quick and easy to install. Simply make sure that you have a screwdriver.

• Take the largest of the two pipe components and draw on a line representing half the width of the coupling (or 150 mm from the end) ;
• Slide the coupling onto the pipe that you have just marked ;
• Bring the second pipe as close as possible, end-to-end with the first ;
• Drag the coupling so that it straddles the two pipes and its edge sits on the mark ;
• Slide the coupling up to the mark drawn and finish by tightening all the worm drive units in sequence across the width of the coupling to the recommended torque (the recommended torque setting is indicated on the coupling’s label and in the laying instructions supplied with the coupling).
