NORHAM Flexible couplings LC
Specifications

The NORHAM Flexible couplings LC is purpose-built from DN 600 to DN 2000 mm.
- Its width is 190 mm. (length >190mm, see the FLEX-SEAL® XLC range)
- It is comprised of an EPDM seal, with grade 1.4301 (304) austenitic stainless steel clamping bands and a central shear-resistant band.
- It can be manufactured from nitrile rubber (NBR), resistant to hydrocarbons, fats, oil, greases etc, on request.
The NORHAM Flexible couplings LC is the optimal solution for repairing a pipe or joining two pipes of different types together and guaranteeing that networks of surface water, sewage water or sediment-laden water are watertight.
It is also ideal for connecting an oil separator, a concrete manhole or any other pipe connection device onto a pipe of any material type.
The NORHAM Flexible couplings LC,
- can withstand up to a 1 bar pressure ;
- withstands temperatures between -40°C and + 140°C.
It can be fitted to buried or above-ground networks.
Take a look at our "Plant couplings" for more information.
Installation
Installing a NORHAM Flexible couplings LC could not be easier!
- Take the largest pipe, with the largest external diameter, and draw a mark representing half the width of the coupling (or 95 mm from the end) ;
- Slide the coupling onto this pipe and bring the second pipe as close as possible to the first, end-to-end ;
- Using the pencil mark centre the coupling over the joint and finish by tightening all the worm drive units in sequence across the width of the coupling to the recommended torque (the recommended torque setting is indicated on the coupling’s label and in the laying instructions supplied with the coupling).
