Help to understand how Tideflex all elastomeric check valve operates

 Tideflex check valve was developed as an alternative solution to traditional flap valves, when they fall down. It is specifically designed for extreme envionments.

Tideflex is a no moving or mechanical part check-valve, 100% elastomeric construction, highly resistant to corrosion and ozone degradation.

Le clapet Tideflex épouse les éventuels débris et reste étanche en toute circonstanceThe design of Tideflex check valve allows to form a tighter seal around debris and solids tipically found in stormwater and effluent discharge, airport and highway runoff, CSO/SSO systems, ocean outfallls, flood control systems and pumping stations.

 Le clapet Tideflex est auto-nettoyant

The curved bill enhancement is self-draining and does not increase headloss.

 PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Tideflex is an one part all elastomeric construction. The "duck-bill" design allows the valve to operate using line pressure and backpressure to open and close, without outside energy source required :

- The Tideflex check valve opens with positive pressure;

Lorsque la pression amont est supérieure à la pression aval, le clapet s'ouvre et permet l'écoulement

-Reverse pressure seals the curve bill of the Tideflex to prevent backflow.

Lorsque la pression amont est inférieure à la pression aval, le clapet Tideflex se ferme et empêche les refoulements
