Do you know the story behind the Flex-Seal coupling ?

The FLEX-SEAL® coupling was born in California in the 1950s.

At the time, a massive wave of building was taking place and pipe requirements increased tenfold.

To meet this growing demand, the pipework company GARRETT PLUMBING began manufacturing stoneware pipes, and the MISSION Clay company was thus born.

Mr GARRETT then founded the MISSION Rubber Company to provide solutions to the “new” jointing problems. He began designing a flexible coupling that allowed assembly of pipes of unequal diameters and in different materials.

Today, the MISSION RUBBER COMPANY (USA) along with its subsidiary MÜCHER (Germany) and NORHAM (France) share in the manufacture of the original FLEX-SEAL® coupling.

Together, they are the world leaders in the production of multi-material coupling.

In France, NORHAM has owned the rights to the FLEX-SEAL® brand name for multi-material couplings since 1989. It constantly strives to improve the quality of its range through innovation, examples being TOX® (stamping of stainless steel parts) and Clip-In (system for holding clamping bands in place along with the stainless steel central anti-shear band).

We thus aim to provide our customers with certified solutions. Discover the Norham range of Flex-Seal Plus and Flex-Seal multi-material couplings.
